Fastfood chain operator Jollibee Foods Corp. forayed into the pastries business with the opening of the first Tiong Bahru Bakery outlet in the Philippines.
The Philippine branch is located at Verve Residences Tower 2 in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.
Originating in Singapore, Tiong Bahru Bakery is renowned for its croissants and other expertly crafted pastries made with the finest French ingredients.
“Introducing Tiong Bahru Bakery to the Philippine market aligns with our commitment to providing Filipinos with exciting, world-class dining experiences,” said Jollibee Group Global president and chief executive Ernesto Tanmantiong.
“This marks the first international branch of Tiong Bahru Bakery, and we are proud to open it here in the Philippines. We deeply appreciate the support of our exceptional partners—Titan Dining, Ayala Malls, and Bonifacio Global City—who have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. We look forward to seeing this collaboration thrive, blending local and global culinary traditions, as we continue spreading the joy of eating,” Tanmantiong said.
Tiong Bahru Bakery product offerings include buttery, flaky croissant, the indulgent Pain Au Chocolat, the best-selling, rich Kouign Amann, the savory Za’atar Miso Eggplant Sandwich and the zesty Lemon Tart.
The bakery also serves coffee made from sustainably sourced beans by Common Man Coffee Roasters.
It has 21 branches in Singapore.
Jollibee Group Philippines president and chief executive officer Joseph Tanbuntiong said the first location for Tiong Bahru Bakery is a place not only where people can enjoy freshly baked goods but also enjoy a warm ambiance.
Jollibee and Food Collective, Pte. Ltd. (FCPL) formed a 60:40 joint venture company in 2023 to bring Singapore’s food and beverage brands, Tiong Bahru Bakery and Common Man Coffee Roasters, to the Philippines.
