The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) was recently recognized as one of the top-performing government-owned and -controlled corporations (GOCCs) in the Philippines at the Annual
Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) Awards Ceremony held in Manila.
CIAC president and chief executive Jojit Alcazar received the award from executive secretary Lucas Bersamin.
CIAC now joins the top ten GOCCs based on the GCG’s corporate governance scorecard and performance evaluation system.
The recognition highlights CIAC’s continued commitment to corporate excellence, which was further underscored by the recent successful surveillance audit conducted by TÜV Rheinland on Nov. 22, 2024.
The audit confirmed that CIAC’s management system remains compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standards, a globally recognized benchmark for quality management systems.
The certification ensures that CIAC consistently meets customer expectations while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
“The positive audit results reflect the effectiveness of CIAC’s Quality Management System, a critical component in achieving our corporate objectives, including the realization of the seven flagship projects under Clark Aviation Capital,” said Alcazar.
The audit, which focused on estate management and lease processing for the agency’s land and structures, found no major non-conformities, with four positive findings and six opportunities for improvement.
As the premier aviation and land development arm of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), CIAC manages the 2,367-hectare Clark Aviation Capital, which is poised to become the country’s aviation-centric business hub.
