Business tycoon Manuel Villar Jr. is changing the corporate name of its listed firm Golden MV Holdings, Inc. to Villar Land Holdings Corp. as the company is focusing on developing its newly acquired large track of land in southern Metro Manila and Cavite.
Golden MV said Thursday in a disclosure to the stock exchange its board of directors approved the change in the company’s name subject to shareholders approval.
Golden MV said the move is aimed “to align with the recent developments in the company specifically with the acquisition of companies owning land in Villar City”.
“The company will gain further flexibility in undertaking the business expansion,” Golden MV said.
The company said it will seek shareholders approval by way of written assent for this proposed amendment.
Once approved, the company ticker symbol with the PSE will also change from “HVN” to “VLC.”
