AirAsia, Cebu Pacific eye more passengers

The country’s two budget airlines expect to carry more domestic and international passengers during the holiday season.

AirAsia Philippines said it recorded a significant increase in bookings for both domestic and international travel ahead of the upcoming holiday season. The budget airline attributed this to guests planning ahead and securing their travel early to save money and avoid last-minute inconveniences.

Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific said it expects nearly one million passengers to fly with the airline for Undas.

“With the addition of new routes and enhanced capacity, we expect a significant increase in passenger numbers this year. The most popular destinations are Cebu, Hong Kong, Iloilo, Davao, and Boracay,” Cebu Pacific said.

“At the same time, CEB sees improved performance for this year’s Christmas and New Year holidays, supported by increased capacity from the recently added routes. The most popular destinations include Cebu, Hong Kong, Iloilo, Davao, and Boracay,”it said.
