The Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) and the China-Philippine Traditional Chinese Medicine Center held a free medical mission on Feb. 8, 2026 to provide traditional healthcare services to local residents.
The event, held at the Federation Building, targeted the treatment of chronic illnesses and the promotion of wellness through the theme “Inheriting the Essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Protecting the Health and Well-Being of the People.”
The mission was co-organized by the Philippine Qihuang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Philippine Alumni Association.
About 160 residents received various treatments during the session. A team of nine TCM doctors including Zheng Qiming, Xie Lixin, Cai Yating, You Zezhou, Lu Yingrou, Chen Wensheng, Xiao Huimei, Wang Yun and Xu Naixue provided consultations, constitution assessments and health education.
Patients at the clinic had access to specialized treatments such as acupuncture, cupping and therapeutic massage.
FFCCCII president Victor Lim said during the event that TCM has unique advantages in treating various intractable and chronic diseases, as well as in health preservation and disease prevention.
He expressed hope that the medical mission would help more patients, deepen public understanding of TCM and realize its benefits.
The initiative marks ongoing efforts by the Filipino-Chinese business community to integrate traditional Chinese health practices into the local medical landscape to improve public health outcomes.
