The Philippine Lin Pok Sy Foundation Inc. held its 112th to 113th induction of officers at Golden Bay Restaurant on Oct. 29, 2025.
Shi Pei Quan was elected as the new president of the foundation.
Leaders from various Sy family associations, including representatives from Hong Kong, Taipei City in Taiwan and the local Filipino Chinese community, attended the ceremony.
Victor Lim, president of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII), along with other officials and staff members, were also present during the event.
The Sy family, originating from South Fujian, is known for its long and illustrious history.
The Lin Pok Sy family has contributed many successful talents across various industries in the Philippines.
Shi expressed hope that the Lin Pok Sy Foundation would strengthen its cooperation with FFCCCII to promote harmony within the Filipino Chinese community.
He cited the importance of supporting government-led economic recovery projects, particularly initiatives aimed at uplifting grassroots communities and alleviating poverty.
Shi donated P100,000 to FFCCCII’s “Lost Filipino Chinese Students Allowance” project, demonstrating his commitment to community development and support for Filipino Chinese students.
