FFCCCII vice president and director of the culture and education committee Co Kin Hung emphasized the vital role of Filipino Chinese teachers and reflected on FFCCCII’s long-standing efforts to promote Filipino Chinese education, saying “education is the work of conscience.

“Educators must stay true, provide love, and offer special care. They should lead by example, shoulder the heavy responsibility of passing on knowledge, and help shape the character and talents of their students for future societal contributions.” he said.

Consul General of China in Manila Wang Yue attended the event.

Wang praised FFCCCII’s outstanding achievements in promoting Chinese education and cultural exchange. He reiterated the Chinese government’s commitment to supporting overseas Chinese education and underscored the significance of Chinese culture as a bridge for understanding between the Philippines and China, especially for the younger generations.

He said that amid the challenges in the Philippine-China relationship, Chinese education remains crucial for fostering unity within the Filipino-Chinese community.

FFCCCII held an awards ceremony for “Respecting Teachers and Respecting Disciplines Incentives,” recognizing contributions from the Filipino Chinese community.

Ye Qi Ming, executive director of the Association of Chinese-Filipino Schools in the Philippines (ACFSP) thanked FFCCCII and called for greater collaboration among Filipino-Chinese organizations to raise funds and train more exceptional teachers.

The event highlighted how educational initiatives help strengthen connections within the Filipino-Chinese community and promote cultural exchange between the Philippines and China.
