The government's state weather bureau recorded Sunday thus far the lowest temperatures in Baguio City and Metro Manila this northeast monsoon.
PAGASA said the temperature in pines-dotted Baguio, the country's summer capital perched 5,000 feet above sea level, dropped to 11.4 degrees Celsius at 4:50 a.m.
The temperature in Science Garden, Quezon City was 20.4 degrees Celsius at 6:15 a.m.
PAGASA said the northeast monsoon was expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora and the northern portion of Quezon, including Polillo Islands.
The northeast monsoon is also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila.
