Offers unifying governance: BBM-Sara tandem woos Eastern Visayas voters

Thousands gathered to show a warm welcome to UniTeam presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, when they visited Borongan, Eastern Samar on Monday.

From the airport, the tandem went straight to officially inaugurate the UniTeam headquarters in Borongan City before proceeding to a UniTeam rally set in the province.

“We are planning, and we are thinking, how to raise the Philippine economy, how we can develop the Philippines, how to get to Samar and continue what President Duterte started as ‘Build, Build, Build’ which we will grow even more. We will intensify even more,” Marcos said.

“The first thing we must do is to reunite every Filipino, not fighting, but working together. Not remorseful, but united for our beloved country,” he added.

Duterte-Carpio, Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) chairperson, urged Warays to support Marcos in next year’s presidential elections.

“I am pleading to you: when you vote, vote for the Bongbong-Sara tandem. Choose Bongbong-Sara because I will be hampered in doing my job as vice president if he is not our president,” Duterte-Carpio said during a brief stop at St. Mary’s Gym in Borongan City.

The presidential daughter was accompanied by Lakas-CMD President and House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez during the sortie.

She expressed belief that Marcos’ political experience as a former governor, congressman and senator is a big advantage in addressing the country’s major problems if he is elected president.

The tandem met with Lakas-CMD officials and friends in Borongan City where they held a motorcade.
