ULOPAN supports Go-Sara tandem

Mangaldan, Pangasinan—The United Lights of Pangasinan (ULOPAN) announced its full support for the tandem of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio in their presidential and vice-presidential bids in the coming 2022 national elections.

The group also endorsed the senatorial candidacies of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar.

“We declare our full support to Senator Bong Go in his bid for president, as well as the vice presidential candidacy of Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio in the 2022 polls. We also announce our support to President Rodrigo Duterte and former DPWH Secretary Mark Villar in their respective bids for senator,” said businessman Emilio D. De Guzman, the president of ULOPAN.

ULOPAN, with more than 100,000 volunteer-members in Pangasinan, was founded in 2014 by Secretary Raul L. Lambino in Mangaldan, and duly registered as a non-stock and non-profit organization at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

“Prominent Pangasinenses have already established ULOPAN chapters in different provinces in Northern and Central Luzon including Metro Manila,” Lambino said in a statement.

De Guzman explained the mission of ULOPAN is to formulate policies, develop projects and programs, encourage volunteerism, unity, solidarity, and teamwork, and engage in activities that will help improve the quality of life and further the interest and welfare of the people of Pangasinan.

De Guzman recalled that during the 2019 elections, ULOPAN members, who are all registered voters, went around Pangasinan and volunteered to campaign for Mark DG. Lambino when he ran for Vice Governor.

In that election, Vice Governor Lambino garnered more than 700,000 votes and obtained a convincing 200,000 vote margin against his rival.

“With the unity and combined efforts of all ULOPAN members, we believe that we can deliver substantial votes for GO-SARA tandem as well as the senatorial candidacies of President Duterte and Secretary Mark Villar in the 2022 elections,” De Guzman pointed out.
