Angeli Khang is just 20 years old but unlike other up-and-coming actresses her age, she has no qualms about doing daring and sexy scenes in movies. And that’s exactly what audiences will see in Mahjong Nights.
Hot drama and even hotter sensual emotions flare up in Law Fajardo’s new erotic drama that follows the story of Esther (Mickey Ferriols) who regularly organizes a Mahjong Night game with her long-time friends at her house, where she lives with her second husband Leo (Jay Manalo) and her only daughter Alexa (Angeli Khang).
But there is always more than mahjong games that happen in their house: Leo lusting over Alexa; Alexa’s sexual encounters with the driver of her mom’s friend; Esther feigning ignorance with everything that’s happening in their house; and an unexpected person who knows all their secrets.
All these hidden desires and hidden truths, if revealed, will ruin not just their Mahjong Night game, but also their lives.
Angeli Khang, who also had a sexy role in the movie Taya, takes on another challenge of a sexy role, paving her way as one of VIVA’s must-watch upcoming sexy stars.
“I think every sexy scene ko po is a part of me na s’yempre kinakabahan ako. But I think I was able to meet the expectations sa’kin ni Direk Law and I think those daring scenes ang kailangan nilang abangan,” she during the film’s virtual press conference.
“I’m so honored to be the leading actress of Mahjong Nights. Talagang nag-effort ako,” Angeli added.
According to the newbie star, doing sexy scenes is just a stepping stone. In fact, she had to defy he father, a South Korean general, who is against her entering showbiz.
“He wanted me to follow in his footsteps. Ang gusto po niyang mangyari sa akin ay sundan yung landas niya as an army. He said that it has a lot of better opportunities. But in my heart and mind, gustung-gusto ko talaga na mag-artista kaya I got my consent from my mom,” the Fil-Korean actress shared.
Aside from Mickey Ferriols and Jay Manalo, they are also joined by Arnel Ignacio, Jamilla Obispo, and Maricel Morales, who play the roles of Esther’s friends. Also in the movie is the in-demand sexy young actor Sean De Guzman, who plays the role of the young driver and Alexa’s love interest.
