Just like last year, limited events will be played when Season 97 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association goes on with its planned resumption.

Organizers are hoping to hold just four events once again, according to management committee head Dax Castellano of the College of St. Benilde.

The further easing of COVID-19 restrictions this month will make the staging of these four events possible by February.

Castellano said training activities of student-athletes from member schools are set to resume by Nov. 15.

From there, they can schedule competitions in men’s basketball and women’s volleyball by the second week of February.

The mancom has also made plans to set the online events of taekwondo and chess during that period.

Last year, Season 96 host  Colegio de San Juan de Letran managed to push through with online events.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Metro Manila, NCAA Season 95 had to be called off.
