The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued a final decision to discontinue the anti-dumping measures that were applied to consumer and food service industrial pineapple exported by the Philippines. The AD duties have been in place since 2000.

Starting Oct. 17, consumer pineapples may enter the Australian fruit market duty-free while canned pineapples may be brought to Australia starting Nov. 13 under the ASEAN-Australia Free Trade Agreement.

The AD duties that will soon expire are equivalent to 5.9 percent for Dole Philippines and 22.9 percent for all other exporters for consumer pineapple. The AD duties for pineapple products for FSI is 18.7 percent.

The ADCC determined that the expiration of the AD measures would not lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping.
