No tricks, just treats even if kids and kids at heart spend another Halloween at home. Here’s a hair-raising lineup of special creations and virtual events for this weekend.
For ghostly gatherings
Grand Hyatt Manila’s Florentine offers a delectable 8-inch Burnt Honey Cake made of sponge cake with layers of Dulce de Leche, burnt honey, and cream cheese filling at P1,850 net. For pumpkin-themed parties, its Pumpkin Pie (P900 net) features a mix of flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon, while the Pumpkin Cupcake (P250 net) is a vanilla muffin with dark chocolate ganache.

Marks and Spencer offers spook-tacular Halloween line of treats, including Zombie Eyeballs, Creepy Chocolate Lollipops, Sour Spiders, Milk Ghosts, and Graveyard Festival, Spooky Ombles Choco Pops, Dragon Eggs, Bubbly Boo, Net of Ghoulish Gang, and Vampire Fangs.
The aforementioned Halloween treats are only available in select M&S stores.
Doom on Zoom
It is a huge Halloween gathering as Crimson Hotels and Resorts in Filinvest City, Mactan, and Boracay; Quest Hotels in Tagaytay, Clark, and Cebu; and Timberland Highlands Resort invite guests to celebrate virtually.
On Oct. 30, 2:00 p.m., a Wicked Halloween will entertain kids via Zoom with activities from Tinker House, an interactive magic show by Dale Rubio, and a Best in Costume contest where they can win gift certificates from any of the aforementioned hotels.
