The Lakestars, with Teppei Kashiwagura and Pinoy cager Kiefer Ravena adding 16 points apiece, hung on to a share of second place with two others.

Ravena had four triples, including three in the first half, with his third trey in the final 5:23 of the second period handing the Lakestars a 19-point cushion, 41-22.

Omara’s jumper with 3:21 to go sent Lakestars ahead at 43-28.

The win allowed the Lakestars to rebound from their 68-107 setback to the Diamond Dolphins on Saturday when Nagoya cruised to a dominant 39-point win to extend their win streak to four.

Nagoya’s Pinoy import Bobby Ray Parks, playing for 25 minutes, scored 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting, to go with four rebounds and four assists during the Dolphins’ win.

Ravena only had five points during that game, to go with his three assists, three steals and two rebounds.

The Hiroshima Dragonflies lead the West District standings, with the Lakestars sharing second with the Mikawa Seahorses and Ryukyu.
