Beauty Gonzalez misses Loving Miss Bridgette’s youthful energy

Screen star Beauty Gonzalez once experienced being wooed by a much younger man. But she didn’t take it seriously. She thought it was cute but being with a much younger partner has never crossed her mind.

But it’s an entirely different story in “Loving Miss Bridgette,” the opening salvo of the drama anthology Stories from the Heart.

In the episode, which paired 30-year-old Gonzalez with 22-year-old Kelvin Miranda, age seems to not matter as their characters explore the kind of affair some people feel “inappropriate,” considering of course their status in life.

In the story, Miranda is Marcus Villareal, a self-righteous Biology student who is bent on pursuing his counselor. Gonzalez, on the other hand, is Bridgette de Leon, an old-fashioned guidance counselor who is recently annulled and has a chance encounter with Marcus.

As both characters proceed with their undeniable connection, things do not come easy as complications start to arise. Their love has to withstand the demeaning remarks of those who deem their relationship unacceptable.

Asked how Gonzalez relates to her character, the actress just based her answer on how Bridgette is as a person and how she processes things in her mind.

“Well, Bridgette is very hopeful and she always sees the good things in everyone, sa lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay niya. I haven’t experienced being in love with a much younger guy but I can relate to her as a person,” she said.

Today, GMA airs the finale episode of “Loving Miss Bridgette” and Gonzalez could only reminisce on the fun times she had on the set.

“I will definitely miss the youthful energy and pureness and rawness of puppy love of the story. You can’t plan love, lightning can strike anyone at any time, and there’s nothing you can do about it,” Gonzalez said of the series most important takeaway.

The actress is thankful to the viewers that made “Loving Miss Bridgette” one of the most talked-about series now. She teased them with these parting words alluding to the finale: “Expect the unexpected. It’s a perfect mix of true life and fantasy, of expectations and reality, a closing and perhaps an opening.”
