Shawarma Shack, a local food company, has reaped praises and recognition for its philanthropic deeds amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar cited Shawarma Shack Group CEO Walther Uzi Buenavista for his charitable works and unwavering support to the police force.
"In these difficult times, partnership between the government and private sector is important in hurdling the pandemic,” Eleazar said.
Buenavista and his wife, Patricia, visited Eleazar in his office to personally receive the plaque of appreciation and token.
At the same time, Buenavista turned over hundreds of sacks of rice as the company's support to PNP frontliners.
Shawarma Shack has committed to give back to the community by sending support and leading outreach programs to vulnerable areas.
“In this pandemic situation that we are currently experiencing, the best thing that we can do is to give assistance and support to our fellow Filipinos. By doing that, I believe that we can rise again, together. We are glad that our simple acts brought hope to the people,” Buenavista said.
The company likewise gives utmost importance to food safety and sanitation. It has constructed a modern food laboratory that operates with advanced technology to ensure only the freshest high-quality ingredients are served.
The company prides itself as the first and original Buy 1 Take 1 Shawarma in the country. Shawarma Shack currently has over 500 branches nationwide, banking on the affordability of its products while assuring franchisees with real profitability and fast returns.
