After a year of continued service and improvements, the two parties have officially signed the contract, sealing the partnership and finalizing the future plans for PureGo. This collaboration marries 917Ventures’ expertise in technology and product development with Puregold’s unparalleled retail experience.

According to Vincent Co, Puregold President, “Puregold has always spearheaded innovation. We became one of the trusted grocery chains in the country because we find opportunities and solutions even in the smallest places. As one of the reliable sources of essential goods to households and SMEs, we found an opportunity to innovate again, this time, with 917Ventures. 917Ventures has been a key and strategic partner in making PureGo. We are excited to officially announce this endeavor with 917Ventures.”

"It’s at the core of 917Ventures to accelerate innovation and develop its growth. With Puregold being our strategic partner, we have an opportunity to understand the critical moving parts to ensure that we provide a platform that’s easy, responsive, and is an actual solution to everyone using it," said Vince Yamat, Managing Director of 917Ventures.

Future plans have been set to expand PureGo’s reach, bringing it to locations outside Metro Manila, such as Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Pampanga, and Baguio. Additionally, PureGo will also launch its own mobile app. Available on both the Play Store and App Store, this game changer will significantly make it easier for customers to order their groceries anytime, anywhere.

"In this pandemic, we find ourselves pursuing innovation for the most essential goods and services. Globe has remained true to its commitment of providing innovative solutions and wide-scale positive impact to make sure everyone can connect to the services and the people who matter the most to them. Today, Globe adds to that promise with PureGo. PureGo is an online grocery that delivers peace of mind, convenience, and affordability. I’m proud that Globe, through 917Ventures and its partnership with Puregold, has developed this platform," said Ernest Cu, Globe President and CEO.

“PureGo’s mission is to deliver the best online grocery experience for its customers. Our customers are our reason-for-being as we continually obsess on their needs. We will achieve this with great partnerships, technology, and our team. We are excited, and we are just getting started,” Glenn Estrella, PureGo’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

PureGo was initially introduced October 20 of last year to revolutionize how Filipinos shop for food items and other essentials. It provides an easy-to-navigate website, extensive product selection, seamless online shopping experience, and above-par customer service. Online shoppers can also settle their transactions using multiple payment options, including contactless payment through GCash, and have the items delivered within 24 hours.

917Ventures is the largest corporate venture builder in the Philippines, wholly-owned by Globe. Puregold is one of the leading supermarket chains in the country.
