QC’s Crisologo unfazed by Atayde’s House bid

Quezon City District 1 Rep. Peter Anthony “Onyx” Crisologo remains unfazed by the candidacy of actor Arjo Atayde against him in the 2022 local elections.

In an interview, Crisologo said he is not at all threatened by Atayde’s plan to unseat him.

When asked about Atayde’s donation of service vehicles to different barangays in District 1, Crisologo told the Manila Standard: “Why should I? My track record will speak for myself.”

He said he and even his father, former congressman Vincent “Bingbong” Crisologo, have done so much to assist within the community level and legislate measures that helped improve public service and uplift the lives of the people.

Crisologo was a three-term councilor before winning the congressional race in 2019.

The older Crisologo also served the city council from 1998 to 2004 and at the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2013 and from 2016 to 2019. He ran and lost to Mayor Joy Belmonte in the 2019 elections.
