Celeste Salvador is a graduate of BS Accountancy from Angeles University Foundation in Angeles City. Before becoming an entrepreneur, she was an administrative assistant in a company in Bacolor, Pampanga.
After years of working as an employee, she decided to become a full-time mom. Within a few months of staying at home, she realized that she needed to find an outlet, something to make her busy and earn an income as well, while being at home and fulfilling her duties as a mother and wife.
She consulted her husband about her plans and received his full support. The problem was, she did not have any idea on what, when, where to start her plans. Then, her passion in baking paved the way to start her own business.
The business was doing good until the pandemic came. Celeste said that the COVID-19 pandemic led to a huge setback for the business. They experienced missed opportunities such as dine-in customers from within and outside Magalang, buffet nights and plans of business expansion.
According to Celeste, the Kapatid Mentor Me – Money Market Encounter online program of Department of Trade and Industry and Go Negosyo gave windows of opportunities and hope for her business.
She felt lucky because she was introduced to the many programs of DTI. All these programs became instruments and inspiration to her. She said that acquiring all the knowledge from these programs gave her direction, an eye-opener that despite of all the challenges they are facing right now, there is still hope.
Learning so many skills, techniques, methods and practices taught her how to focus on innovations, reinvention and recreation to be able to get up and continue to reach her goals.
