The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has earmarked P50 million to buy additional medical oxygen tanks in preparation for a possible COVID-19 surge.
At the Laging Handa public briefing, BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim said the funding of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority will improve the supply of oxygen tanks in the region.

We allocated P50 million in the BTA to procure oxygen tanks to reinforce the oxygen supply in preparation for a possible COVID-19 surge.
However, Ebrahim said that the BARMM remains at low risk for COVID-19 compared to other regions in Mindanao.
BARMM has recorded a total of 10,410 COVID-19 cases. At least 9,350 of them have already recovered, while 666 are still active cases.
