Stories of the arnis gold medalists and their winning performances will be the focus of the episode, starting with Kristine Petacoste, a Butuan City native, who won the gold medal in the Juniors Traditional Single Weapon, followed by Liendzhay Gigante of Pasig City, who topped in the Juniors Traditional Double Weapon, and Jana Lorraine Quintilla from Rizal, who exhibited sports excellence in the Juniors Traditional Espada Y Daga event for 13-15 years old, among others.

“The Women’s Martial Arts Festival held last July 8 to 31, supports the agency’s commitment to strengthen sports and fitness in the country,” said PSC chairman William Ramirez.

Women in Sports Commissioner Kiram added that the event celebrates women’s strength in the field of martial arts. Further, the program is in support of Republic Act No. 9710, also known as the “Magna Carta of Women”, which spells out every woman’s right to equal participation in sports.
