Following the signing of a memorandum of agreement between Prime Media Holdings Inc. (PMHI) and Philippine Collective Media Corporation (PCMC), Prime Media is now laying the groundwork for strategic planning and reorganization.
“Prime Media has been quiet for a while, but very soon the public will have a new source of information and entertainment,” said PMHI president Manolito Manalo.
“We are now focused on strengthening the team, side-by-side with strategic planning for additional frequencies for both free tv and radio,” he added.
Manalo said the media company is currently in talks with several content providers.
“A couple of organizations have expressed their interest in working with Prime Media. We look forward to an interesting program line-up very soon,” he said.
PCMC has been launching radio stations and television studios nationwide.
Broadcasting since 2009, it currently operates PRTV in Tacloban and 18 FMR radio stations covering Tacloban, Calbayog, Catbalogan, Catarman, Ormoc, Borongan, Davao de Oro, Iligan City, Butuan, Camiguin, Davao de Oro and Zamboanga Sibugay.
In the pipeline is the launching of FMR stations in Baguio, Partido Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Cagayan Province, Nueva Vizcaya and Dipolog.
PCMC airs via livestream from its studios in Makati and Fairview.
Prime Media Holdings Inc. is trading under the PSE ticker symbol “PRIM.” The holding company intends to venture into real estate development, leisure and hospitality, and gaming to expand and diversify its business.
