The City of Taguig has breached the 400,000-mark of individuals vaccinated against the novel coronavirus disease.

On Saturday, the city also posted its highest single-day COVID-19 doses administered with a total of 18,395 jabs.

To date, Taguig had already administered more than 665,000 (first and second dose) jabs across the city’s vaccination hubs as of Monday.

Mayor Lino Cayetano thanked his constituents for the trust and confidence they have given the city’s vaccination program against COVID-19.

Two months ago, Taguig also surpassed its target of vaccinating 7,000 people daily after it started inoculating those belonging to the A4 category, or persons working outside their residences.

Cayetano attributed the increased number of people who want to be vaccinated to the ease of booking and scheduling process, and to the hard work of the city’s healthcare personnel and vaccination teams.

The local government has provided 12 vaccination sites stationed in strategic areas in Taguig.

Home vaccination is available for bedridden family members, while vaccination buses are stationed in more accessible locations to serve various communities and groups in the city.
