The price of liquefied petroleum gas products will increase by at least P3.35 per kilogram today (Aug. 1, 2021), Petron said in an advisory Saturday.
The price hike will translate into an additional P36.85 for an 11-kg tank.
Petron said its AutoLPG prices will also increase by eP1.87 per liter.
“[The price adjustments] reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of August,” the oil firm said.
The LPG Dealers Association earlier announced prices of LPG could go up by P2 per kg today (Sunday). The group warned increases could continue until December.
Data from the Department of Energy showed the retail prices of an 11-kilogram household LPG tank range between P720 and P981 as of July.
On July 27, oil firms implemented a rollback that put an end to nine weeks of consecutive increases.
