YG Entertainment has unveiled the official trailer for “Blackpink The Movie,” which is scheduled to hit the cineplex in over 100 countries on Aug. 4 and 8.
On Wednesday, the entertainment agency released the movie sneak peek showing clips from Blackpink’s recent online concert, “The Show,” and other pre-pandemic tours. The trailer also features interview clips from the four members, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
The docu-movie includes three special segments: “Memory Room,” where the group members reminisce years after their debut; “Beauty,” showing all members’ individual characteristics; and an “Unrevealed Special Interview.”
The film is the first part of Blackpink’s “4+1 project,” a project that will hold five events to celebrate the group’s fifth debut anniversary next month and will serve as a gift for their fans.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment also confirmed earlier Wednesday that Blackpink will also join the Weverse app on Aug. 2 as the third event for the project. The Weverse app is a platform where artists and fans can communicate with each other.
On July 6, the group announced that they will also release a limited edition of “The Album” photobook on Aug. 9 as the second event for the “4+1 project.”
The k-pop girl group debuted on Aug. 08, 2016. In October 2020, they released their debut album called ‘The Album.’
Last March, Rosé debuted as a solo artist with her album ‘R,’ while Lisa will also make her much anticipated debut as a solo artist next month.
