Marking the return of Sunshine Classics online concert series of recreation center Sunshine Place is a voice and piano concerto.
Dubbed Singing in Sunshine, happening on Sunshine Place’s YouTube channel, features soprano Stefanie Quintin-Avila and tenor Ivan Nery, accompanied by renowned Filipino pianist Mariel Ilusorio.
Singing in Sunshine will feature an all-French program, with songs like “Ange Adorable” (Charles Gounod, from Romeo and Juliet), “L’heure Exquise” (Reynaldo Hahn, from Chanson’s Arises), “Vainement Ma Bien Aimée” (Edouard Lalo, from the King of Y’s), “Elle a fui la Tourterelle” (Jacques Offenbach, from Tales of Hoffmann), and “La Vie en Rose” (Edith Piaf), to name a few.
Package ticket rates are available for all five concerts in the series. Four, three, and solo concert rates are also offered. Those who purchase tickets will receive a private link to the concert, which they can view throughout the year as many times as they want.
