CAMP BGEN VICENTE P LIM – The Deputy Chief PNP for Operations, PLTGEN Israel Ephraim T Dickson, visited the Police Regional Office Calabarzon on Thursday and presided over the Oversight Committee Meeting on Anti-Illegal Drugs, Enhanced-Managing Police Operations (E-MPO), PNP Committee on Legal Action (COLA), and Counter Terrorism Task Force (CTTF).
Members of the Police Regional Office CALABARZON headed by the Regional Director, PBGEN Eliseo DC Cruz, warmly welcomed the TDCO in his return to PRO CALABARZON after years of becoming the Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Deputy Regional Director for Administration subsequently.
During the activity, representatives of selected offices presented to the Deputy Chief for Operations the updates on Counter Terrorism Task Force, PNP Committee on Legal Action, E-MPO, Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign as well as the Joint Task Force COVID-19 Shield.
The presentation focused on how far these programs and initiatives made an impact on the existing peace and order situation in the region.
The presentations also highlighted the efforts and actions made by the concerned unit and PRO CALABARZON in general, yielding to the various significant accomplishments of the command.
Dickson in his message said he was pleased to be back in PRO4A and thanked everyone for the warm welcome.
The Deputy Chief PNP for Operations also said that this was his first official visit in PRO4A in his capacity as the TDCO and was proud of the initiatives he had observed which was presented by the Regional Director, PBGEN Eliseo DC Cruz.
“Yung gusto naming gawin doon (PNP-NHQ) ay ginagawa na dito sa PRO4A,” he said emphasizing the use of issued Body Worn Cameras which he commended along with the establishment of the PRO4A Command Center.
“Kung may naiisip tayong maganda related to the Chief PNP’s Intensified Cleanliness Policy ay gawin natin. Let the people know that we are doing it,” he added.
Dickson also applauded the SIKAP or Sitio Kapayapaan Project of PRO4A which caters to the Former Rebels to let them start a new life after being involved in the Communists Terrorist Groups.
“This has to be publicized because this will be the banner project of PRO4A and be adopted by other regions so that we could convince more of these rebels to bring down their arms and return back to the folds of the law,” he said.
Meanwhile, PBGEN Cruz also thanked Dickson and expressed gratitude for sharing his time to visit and grace the activity.
He assured Dickson of the advance efforts of the members of Police Regional Office CALABARZON in delivering their jobs to ensure a more peaceful CALABARZON community and a better and safe place to live and do business.
“We have already provided Body Worn Cameras to every Police Stations in the region, and we shall be soon utilizing the Command Center to see for ourselves the actual activities of our personnel in the different stations,” Cruz said.
“This will help us in identifying lapses and irregularities of our men, if there are such and to avoid suspicions from the public particularly in the conduct of major operations such as Service of Warrant of Arrest, Search Warrant, Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation and even the conduct of Checkpoints,” the Regional Director added.
