With beauty pageants starting to roll again, the spear side will not be left behind. Misters of Filipinas 2021 kicked off male pageants in the country with the selection of thirteen candidates coming from the National Capital Region (NCR)-plus.
Carlo Morris Galang, president of Prime Events Productions Philippines Inc. (PEPPs), organizer of Misters of Filipinas, announced the names of the lucky thirteen during a recent press presentation.
From more than 200 online applicants nationwide, 24 applicants from NCR and neighboring provinces made it to the final casting. They were judged based on looks, physique, interview, and stage presence.
The lucky thirteen NCR Plus candidates are Zeus Sado (Tarlac Province winner), Derrick Allen Lauchengo, Jomarl Pabalan, Kenneth Aniban, Esteven Luiz Santos, Romel Ayag, Kevin Lacanilao, Jayson Bardelas, Randell Urian, Bruce Frederick Espeso, Jherald Castaneda, Victor Leinard Torres (Wild Card), and Anthony Alpe (Wild Card).
Candidates from Misters of Filipinas franchises from other cities, municipalities, provinces, and Filipino communities abroad will join the NCR-plus official candidates. Final casting for Visayas, Mindanao, and the rest of Luzon will be conducted online. The final complete official candidates will be presented in July.
The 8th edition of Misters of Filipinas will be held in Negros Oriental, the first time it will be held outside Metro Manila.
“This year’s edition will be unique and special because it will be held in the province of Negros Oriental. We are happy to help promote the beautiful province to the world through the pageant’s different media platforms,” said Galang.
Misters of Filipinas 2021 will crown its winners and representatives for Mister International, Man of the World, Mister Model of the Universe, Mister Tourism and Culture Universe, and Mister Model Worldwide pageants. The finals will be held on Aug. 9.
