VP Leni deploys jab site for 5k delivery riders

Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday partnered with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno to open an anti-COVID-19 vaccination express site at the Cultural Center of the Philippines for delivery riders and other transport drivers in the city.

“We are targeting to target at least 3,000 to 5,000 drivers until Wednesday,” she said.

The Vice President thanked the University of the Philippines-Manila, University of Sto. Tomas and Far Eastern University “for helping me out.”

“Bakuna para sa mga on-the-go nating drivers at delivery riders! Ito ang layon nating gawin sa unang rollout ng OVP #VaccineExpress, isang inisiyatibong hangad ilapit ang pagbabakuna kontra COVID sa mga sektor at komunidad,” her Facebook post read.

“Tricycle, pedicab, o delivery rider ka ba? Taga-Maynila ka ba? Magpre-register na sa https://www.manilacovid19vaccine.ph, tapos tara sa Vaccine Express! June 22 at 23 sa Cultural Center of the Philippines!” Robredo said.

“Thank you kay Mayor Isko at sa mga kasama niya sa Manila LGU! Thank you, partners— CCP, UBE Express, Smart! Thank you sa ating mga volunteers at long-time #AngatBuhay partners,” Robredo added.

She said she and Moreno have a plan to vaccinate vendors right within their vending sites against COVID-19.
