Singer Reese Lansangan has made it to New York's famous Times Square becoming another face of Filipino music to land on an electronic tarp in the major commercial intersection and entertainment center.
On June 16, the Filipina singer-songwriter could not contain her excitement as she shared on Twitter her reaction upon seeing the picture of herself on a digital billboard in the middle of Times Square in New York City.
The elated Lansangan shared in a tweet, “This is my face in Times Square, NYC. I repeat. Time Square NYC. I am shaking as I type this. #Reese2ndAlbum,”
The billboard was an advertisement to promote Filipino music on Spotify’s EQUAL Music Program that aims to foster gender equality in music all around the world.
She also took to Instagram to share the delightful news.
“WHAT IS THIS FEELING????????!!!!??? That’s my FACE in TIMES SQUARE THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!!!” she wrote in her caption.
The post immediately received congratulatory messages and comments from other Filipino public figures like Chito Miranda Jr., Jugs Jugueta, and Issa Pressman, to name a few.
Reese Lansangan recently promoted her second studio album released on May 31.
Last month, actress and singer Nadine Lustre was also featured on the digital billboard in New York Times Square as EQUAL Philippines’ first Artist of the Month.
