ONE Chairman/CEO Sityodtong talks post-“Apprentice”

The first season of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” might be over, but for ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, it’s only the beginning.

Venezuelan sales director Jessica Ramella turned out to be “The One” as she earned the US$250,000 and became Sityodtong’s Chief Of Staff and “Apprentice” for a year, beating Filipino candidate Louie Sangalang in the finale.

It was a season filled with heartstopping physical and business challenges that brought out the best, and the worst, of the original 16 global candidates.

But now that it’s over, the ONE Chairman and CEO is looking ahead.

“When we do Season 2 of ‘The Apprentice,’ it will have an entirely different twist and a different flavor from Season 1,” Sityodtong said.

There’s no question Season 1 really was the toughest “Apprentice” yet. With that said, fans may be wondering why the need to shake things up, but Sityodtong has always run things that way.

Always on the lookout for innovation and how to make good things better, the amiable sports tycoon is brainstorming ways to spice things up even more.

“Our ethos at ONE Championship is that we are always looking for ways to learn, grow, evolve, and improve. With that spirit, the show will be bigger, better, and badder than Season 1.”

The future, however, isn’t limited to just “The Apprentice.”

While there are still no announcements as to what ONE plans to do next outside of their usual martial arts events, Sityodtong promises that they are exploring different ventures to further entertain the worldwide followers of the organization.

“We have looked at other content stacks,” he said. “We definitely have explored different content stacks from around the world where we could marry the ONE Championship IP or ONE Esports IP into the show.”
