The country’s Consul General to Dubai, Paul Raymund Cortes and his wife Yasmin Cortes lead the awarding ceremony for outstanding Filipino expatriates. The seven Dakilang Bayani Awardees are as follows: internationally-acclaimed designer Michael Cinco, multi-awarded global business leader Dr. Mary Jane Alvero, Lalaine Chu-Benitez, Josie Conlu, Fevie Laurilla, Ace Lester Quijada, and veteran journalist Angel Tesorero. Cortes was also given a tribute by the Filipino community in honor of his meritorious service and achievements during his tour of duty in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
