All roads lead to the prestigious 57th Binibining Pilipinas grand coronation night, finally unfolding at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 11 with thirty-four lovely, driven women competing for the right to represent the country on the international pageant stage.
This year’s candidates will vie for Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Globe, and Miss Grand International titles.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves will play hosts to the much-awaited event, shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outgoing reigning queens will relinquish their crowns led by Bb. Pilipinas International 2019 Bea Patricia Magtanong along with Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019 Emma Tiglao. Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2019 Leren Mae Bautista, and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2019 Maria Andrea Abesamis/Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2020 Samantha Bernardo.
Heavy favorites for the four titles at stake include: Hannah Arnold, 25, Fil-Aussie advocate for accessible learning resources in far-flung communities; Maureen Montagne, 27, Fil-American and first runner-up in 2019 Miss Eco International; Samantha Panlilio, 25, niece of first Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1964 Myrna Panlilio-Borromeo; Patricia Denise D. Babista, 24, Magna Cum Laude graduate in BS in Management of Financial Institutions of De La Salle University; Gabrielle Basiano, 23, Miss Friendship International 2019 first runner-up and advocate for mental healthcare; and Patrizia Garcia, 25, advocate of psychological well-being of children.
Also in the favorite list are: Meiji Cruz, 26, model and events host; Vianca Louise Marcelo, 26, businesswoman and former Reyna ng Bulacan and Miss Silka Philippines 2011; Justine Beatrice Felizarta, 25, Licensed Medical Aesthetician and an overseas Filipino worker advocate; Shanon Tampon, 23, advocate of animal welfare; Karen Laurrie Mendoza, 25, former Supermodel Philippines 2019 and advocate for mental health issues; Jashmin Dimaculangan, 25, model and former Daragang Magayon 2019; Maria Francesca Taruc, 22, former Miss Tourism World Intercontinetal 2019 granddaughter of Hukbalahap and peasant leader-patriot Luis Taruc; Danica Joy Acuna, 27, Licensed Rescue Diver, graduate of Theater Arts from Miriam College and advocates Children Empowerment through Theater Arts; and Alexandra Faith Garcia, 26, model, triathlete and entrepreneur.
