The country’s oil firms raised pump prices by P0.60 per liter effective 6 a.m. today (Tuesday) due to the movement of prices in the world market.
Oil firms also increased the price of kerosene by up to P0.60 per liter, diesel by up to P0.55 per liter, and gasoline by up to P0.20 per liter.
“Please take note that Total Philippines Corporation (TPC) will adjust prices effective June 8, 2021 6:00 a.m. Price increase of P0.55 per liter on diesel. Price increase of P0.20/li on gasoline,” the company said in its advisory.
Aside from Total, other oil firms that also raised pump prices include Petron Corp., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Seaoil Philippines, Cleanfuel, and PTT Philippines, among others.
Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc. announced over the weekend consumers can expect fuel prices to go up for the week of June 8 to 14, 2021.
“Diesel will increase by P0.60 to P0.70 per liter. Gasoline will increase by P0.20 to P0.30 per liter,” Unioil Petroleum said.
Meanwhile, Phoenix said disruptions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic have challenged businesses in remotely managing employee experience.
Phoenix vice president for Human Resources Celeste Marie Ong said the company provided support mechanisms such as releasing a portion of their employees’ 13th month salary and Christmas bonus in advance and allotting allowance for internet connectivity.
As for employees reporting onsite, transportation and protective gear were also offered.
