Lorin Gutierrez is the newest contract star of Viva Artists Agency (VAA).
Yes, the pretty 17-year-old is following the footsteps of her mom Ruffa Gutierrez as she was officially introduced by her home studio to the entertainment press through a virtual mediacon.
Interestingly, does her father (Yilmaz Bektas) approve of her joining the ‘biz?
“I didn’t necessarily get permission from him,” reveals Lorin. “I didn’t ask him like, ‘Hey is it okay if I do this?’ But definitely, there’s an open communication line between my parents. They try to co-parent me and Venice as best as possible.
“For sure, my mom informed him about this new development in my life. He’s not blind in everything that’s happening to me. We update him and take into account and respect his opinion.
“But my decision to enter show business was fully my own. Of course, I had to ask permission from my mom but didn’t necessarily say that, ‘Can I join?’ As with my dad, definitely, he’s aware of the whole thing.”
The lovely lass believes that now is the right time for her to fulfill her cherished dream of becoming a movie star and she’s excited about this phase in her life.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment to finally follow in my family’s footsteps. Now that I’m almost 18, it feels just right. I’m finally comfortable with it.
“My family never told me that I need to do this now. They never rushed me. They didn’t put me under pressure. It’s like everything was at my own pace and now I’m prepared.
“I’m really excited that finally, I’m into showbiz. I promise to do my best to be successful here. I don’t feel frightened or nervous in any way,” ends Lorin.
