The Diocese of Caloocan and the Caloocan city government will work together in the implementation of a comprehensive COVID-19 vaccination plan led by Mayor Oscar Malapitan.
During a Zoom meeting with the captains of each barangay, Diocese of Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David expressed support for the vaccination program.
The diocese will assist by tapping additional volunteers for the vaccination teams, particularly those with medical skills and background.
It will also assist in conducting pre-online registration and surveys to find out the stand of the people regarding the vaccine, as well as in mounting an information dissemination drive to inform the people about the vaccination process.
Malapitan is scheduled to meet next week with Diocese of Novaliches Bishop Roberto Gaa to provide information and also ask for his support regarding the COVID-19 vaccination program.
“We truly thank you for all the help and support. Everything we do is for the safety of the people of Caloocan. We will make sure that everyone is ready for the vaccine,” the mayor said.
