Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman of the group,  led the turnover of the helicopter from Pacific Global One (PG1), the aviation group of the MVP Group.

The rescue boats and trucks came from Metro Pacific Investments Foundation (MPIF), PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), One Meralco Foundation (OMF), and MetroPac Movers Inc.

“The nationwide presence of our businesses enables us to mobilize resources throughout the country and provides us with the means to augment the government’s facilities to respond effectively to disasters and calamities,” Pangilinan explained.

Pangilinan also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the AFP, represented by Department of National Defense secretary Delfin Lorenzana and AFP chief of staff Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay (Shown here), to reinforce the public-private partnership for the organizational strengthening of their military treatment facilities. Pangilinan is the chairman of Makati Medical Center.
