Acting Administrator Jeci Lapus (inset photo, right) of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) hands over relief goods and various essential items to Gabriel T. Tejerero, general manager of Virac Water District in Catanduanes, for distribution to families ravaged by Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses. 

Photo also shows LWUA officials (from left) SMD acting manager Rodney Peralta, head executive assistant Danilo Basilio, GM Soriano, and WSUDD manager Eileen de la Vega handing over the same to Frauline Soriano, general manager of Teresa Water District in Rizal. Facilitated through LWUA’s corporate social responsibility program called Buhay KYUT (Kalusugang Yaman Ugnay sa Tubig), grocery packs, bottled water, disinfectants, handwashing liquid, used clothing, face shields and IEC materials were given as well to Morong, Rizal and Camalig, Albay. The outreach operation was carried out in partnership with water districts in Teresa and Morong, Camalig, and Virac, some private organizations, the Philippine Water Works Association, Maynilad and the Philippine Water Partnership.
