Before 2020 ended, fast food chain Popeyes opened its biggest store in Southeast Asia at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
Located on the Level 1 of South Entertainment Mall, the newest Popeyes PH branch sits 200 diners in its spacious dining area—ideal for physical distancing. In addition to proper distance among customers, other health measures and safety protocols are strictly implemented in the store.
The MOA branch offers diners the chain’s bestselling fried chicken, honey biscuits, Popeyes Spaghetti, Cajun fries, and US Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
The inauguration of the new restaurant also marked Popeyes’ second store opening since the country implemented community quarantine (the first being in Eton Centris, Quezon City).
“The opening of this new store is an important milestone for us because, aside from being the biggest Popeyes branch in Southeast Asia, this new location will also allow us to generate employment at a time when our fellow Filipinos need it most,” said Ton Gatmaitan, marketing director of Kuya J Group, the parent company of Popeyes Philippines.
The new branch welcomed the opening with a week-long celebration, complete with fun games, freebies, and countless surprises to all customers. The first three customers received one-year, six-month, and three-month supplies of Popeyes Chicken, respectively; while the first 100 customers were treated to free Chicken Tenders, Cajun Fries, and Box of 3 Biscuits.
