Made to help address the growing problem of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans, phone case maker LifeProof launches a line made from 85 percent recycled plastic.
The recycled plastic used in the WÄ€KE series was obtained from the ocean and meets the LifeProof standard of 6.6 feet of drop protection.
WÄ€KE is available in three colors and features a sleek wave pattern.
Taking cues from WÄ€KE, the rest of the LifeProof portfolio now also features sustainable materials. FRÄ’ for iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max has over 60 percent recycled materials and covers these new devices with 360-degree of protection.
NËXT features ultra-slim protection with a clear back, and is made with more than 50 percent recycled materials.
“We are pleased to offer stylish, sustainable protection for your new device while helping to protect our waterways with WÄ€KE, NËXT, and FRÄ’,” said LifeProof chief executive officer Jim Parke.
To further help the environment, LifeProof, in partnership with Water.org, Coral Reef Alliance, American Rivers, and Oceana, will make a donation for every case sold to support a healthier future for our world’s water. Consumers can visit lifeproof.asia/make-waves.html to register their product and select the charity of their choice.
In the Philippines, WÄ€KE retails at P1,990; NËXT at P3,990; and FRE, which will be available soon, will be priced at P4,790. All three ranges are available at OtterBox kiosks, PowerMac stores, select Rustan’s stores, and online at www.lifeproof.asia, www.tenkiebox.com, and Otterbox stores on Lazada and Shopee.
