The Philippines on Sunday logged 1,530 new cases of COVID-19 infections, bringing the total to 407,838 after nine laboratories failed to submit reports, the Department of Health said.
“Nine labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System on November 14, 2020,” the department said.
There were 25,677 active cases, which were 6.3-percent of the total.
Of the active cases, 82.5 percent were mild, 8.4 percent were asymptomatic, 5.6 percent were critical, 3.2 percent were severe and 0.20 percent were moderate.

The “mass recovery” initiative was due to thousands of survivors of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

The department said 12 duplicates were removed from the total case count, and of those eight were recovered cases.
In addition, 17 recovered cases were found to be negative and were removed from the total case count after final validation. Moreover, four cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.

The country’s first COVID-19 case was a 38-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan.
