Clark Freeport—The team of investigators sent to conduct an in-depth probe behind the mysterious disappearance of retired Court of Appeals Justice Normandie Pizarro is still facing a blank wall as to his whereabouts.

“The in-depth investigation continues. We have requested the recorded activities of the security camera on the day the ex-CA justice was reported missing,” said Police Col. Andres Simbajon Jr., acting director of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office.

Simbajon said Pizarro’s car had been spotted heading toward Sacobia, a sub-zone of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), the night after he left Midori Hotel in Casino last month with an unidentified lady companion.

“My theory is that Pizarro’s vehicle drove straight towards Clark backdoor via Sacobia Bridge then to MacArthur Highway and  North Luzon Expressway and exited at San Simon toll gate,” Simbajon said.

Pizarro’s vehicle was recovered along Manabak road at barangay San Juan, San Simon in Pampanga by residents in the community.

The car has bloodstains inside when checked by police investigators.

Simbajon said the vehicle remained under the custody of the San Simon police station.

The National Bureau of Investigation in Manila has stepped into the picture after the family and relatives of Pizarro sought its help in tracking the ex-CA justice’s whereabouts.

“Parallel investigation was launched between the Pampanga police and the NBI. We are now looking at the possibility that something bad happened with Pizarro either in Tarlac, Angeles City and Pampanga areas,” Simbajon said.

Pizarro was forced to retire from the service after he was allegedly involved in various controversies, mostly work-related decisions. He was also fined P100,000 by the Supreme Court for alleged gambling offenses.

Pizarro was responsible for the release from detention of former Palawan Governor Joel Reyes who was accused as brain behind the murder of a broadcast journalist in Palawan.

Pizarro also acquitted Janet Lim Napoles of a serious illegal detention case in May 2017.

He also rejected the grant of $2-billion worth of charges to victims of Human Rights during the Martial Law period.

Simbajon said investigators were scanning security cameras along the road where Pizarro’s vehicle was spotted in their effort to get a clear lead about the missing ex-justice.
