Google-led YouTube terminated the video streaming of the news channels of ABS-CBN Corp.
“We are aware of the problem of accessing ABS-CBN News channels on YouTube. We are currently investigating this and working closely with YouTube to resolve the problem,” ABS-CBN said in an advisory.
“In the meantime, you can catch our lifestreams and news reports on the TeleRadyo Channel. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” it said.
The entertainment channels of ABS-CBN, however, are still on line.
The termination came months after the government rejected the renewal of the congressional franchise of ABS-CBN to operate as broadcast network.
Its closure affected thousands of jobs. Several ABS-CBN programs are broadcast over free-to-air channel A2Z, formerly Zoe TV owned by the group of Rep. Eddie Villanueva.
