The Department of Public Works and Highways awards the civil works contract for the initial implementation of the Davao City Bypass Construction Project. DPWH Secretary Mark Villar says the joint venture group of Shimizu-Ulticon-Takenaka will build contract package 1-1 covering 10.7 kilometers of four-lane highway, including a 2.3-km tunnel for P13.23 billion within 37 months.
