2 BPO operators to hire thousands of employees for new job locations

Business process outsourcing firm Teleperformance Philippines said Tuesday it launched a new site in Bacoor, Cavite and started the expansion in Quezon City that will open up at least 3,000 regular jobs for Filipinos.

Teleperformance Philippines chief operating officer Mike Lytle said the Molino Bacoor site would prioritize hiring people from Cavite province.

“What’s unique about this site is that not only are we providing a physical location for people to work in very safely, in an environment where we can practice and keep our employees safe, but we’re also opening up more opportunities for people to work from home, including people in Cavite,” he said during the virtual launch Tuesday night.

Teleperformance supports 47,000 employees across the Philippines with more than 4,000 front liners and 50 percent of support staff allowed to work from home.

Aside from Metro Manila and Bacoor, the company has offices in Antipolo, Baguio, Cebu, Bacolod, Davao and Cagayan De Oro. Teleperformance Molino is the company’s 22nd site in the country and the second site in the south. The site will be servicing various companies in the finance, services and telecommunications industries.

Meanwhile, Afni Inc., a US-based BPO company, opened Tuesday its third site in the Philippines that will provide employment to at least 500 jobseekers.

Afni president and chief executive Ron Greene said the company would continue to expand in the country as a part of its growth strategy.

“We have found the amazing, hard-working people in the country aligned perfectly with our mission to provide best-in-class customer interactions for the global brands we support. We are proud to further our investment in the Philippines,” Greene said.

The third Afni office is located inside SM City in Fairview, Quezon City. The BPO firm employs 6,000 workers from its sites in Diliman Commercial Center in Quezon City and One Felicity Center along Commonwealth Avenue.

Greene said Afni would continue attracting, engaging and retaining young, passionate talents in the BPO sector amid the challenges brought by COVID-19.

Afni vice president for operations Khalid Khursheed said the company experienced continued growth over the last eight years since it started operation from its first site in Bonifacio Global City.

“We owe our success and growth to the fantastic people who call Afni home. Despite many challenges, we continue to set our sights higher and are confident that together, we will achieve even more,” said Khursheed.

As part of Afni Philippines’ hub-and-spoke model, the new site in Quezon City has more than 500 seats combined across two production floors and support spaces; four training rooms; two conference rooms; a huddle room; plus, reception, waiting, breakout and clinic areas.

It supports clients with stakes in insurance, telecommunications, satellite and cable, financial services, technology and healthcare.
