“COVID-19 has made over 4.5 million Filipinos unemployed. The plan to revive the mining industry is very laudable essentially because the sincere desire of our government to create and provide jobs especially those in the rural areas,” Yujuico said.
Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez on Wednesday called for the opening of the mining industry and announced the completion of the review of mining assets held by the government through the Privatization Management Office.
