The Commanding General, Philippine Army led the celebration of the 9th Infantry “Spear” Division’s 16th Founding Anniversary on Oct. 1 at Camp Elias Angeles, San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur. Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana also commended the unit for its successful operations against Communist Terrorist Groups as well as its initiatives in improving the morale and welfare of its personnel. The Spear Division is responsible for keeping the peace in the Bicol region, evident in the clearing of three guerilla fronts, neutralization of 61 enemy personalities, and the recovery of 108 firearms.
