PAL resumes regular flights to Boracay via Caticlan

Legacy carrier Philippine Airlines is set to resume flight operation in Boracay via Caticlan airport in Aklan.

Beginning Thursday, Oct.1, the island resort of Boracay will accept tourists coming from areas with General Community Quarantine classification or lower, including travelers from Western Visayas.

The first PAL Manila – Caticlan – Manila flight service on Thursday will depart from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 11:10 a.m. while PR 2041, is set to arrive at Caticlan’s Godofredo P, Ramos Airport at 12:10 p.m.

The return flight, PR2042, will leave Caticlan at 12:55PM and touch down in Manila at 1:55 PM.

PAL is also considering operating flights on Oct. 4Sunday; Oct. 9, Friday and Oct.11 Sunday, which will pave the way for a regular twice weekly Manila-Caticlan-Manila schedule operating every Friday and Sunday from Oct. 16 onwards.

PAL’s modern Dash 8 Q400 aircraft will be deployed for the revived Boracay flights.

“Our Caticlan flights are here to support the Department of Tourism’s vision to reopen Boracay island and other tourist destinations around the country,” the PAL management said in a statement.
