AirAsia plans more commercial flights

AirAsia Philippines said more commercial flights are being arranged as it gradually restores domestic and international networks.

“Updated routes are based on new developments following coordination with our partners in the government, including local government units,” Air Asia said.

Available flights in September include Manila to Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Tacloban, Cagayan de Oro, Purerto Princesa, Bacolod, Kalibo, Caticlan, Tagbilaran and Clark and Davao, as well as Cebu to Davao.

The airline is also flying between Manila to Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.

Air Asia advised guests to check the latest travel restrictions and advice of respective local and national governments before travelling, as policies may change frequently. The budget airline reported a net loss of P2.31 billion in the second quarter, a reversal of the P353-million net income in the same period last year.

Air Asia Philippines recorded total revenues of P129 million from April to June, down from P7.51 billion in the same period last year.
